BitterMause's News

Hey gang!

It is with great pleasure to announce that I am holding auditions for the next episode of The Boris Blobinski Show!

https://www.castingcall.club/projects/the-boris-blobinski-show-episode-04

There are three roles that need to be filled, all secondary and only appearing in this episode.

This is a paid gig, but know that I am unable to shelve out industry rates since this is a small independent production.

Deadline is the end of January, on account of us all being in the thick of holiday chaos.

All the crucial information you need should be in that link, but don't hesitate to reach out if you guys have questions!

GOOD LUCK!

Mornin', afternoon, and evenin to you all!

(Boy I just realized that this is the third time in a row where I post an update once a year and then I crawl back into the floorboards. I really gotta stop doing that. )

Despite my absence on the platform, I've been working diligently on two brand new projects that I'm excited to share with you all!

The first announcement is a brand new episode in my animated webseries, The Boris Blobinski Show! While the series itself is not new, the latest episode is the first to be fully animated, with additional voice casting and professional audio design! Episode 03 is slated to be released on YouTube this weekend, but I'll also showcase it here.

Here's a little teaser trailer to get your feet wet;

The second announcement is a new comic project called A Series of Absurds, which is a collection of one shot comics based on stories I've written over the past few years that revolve around dark comedy, absurdian humor, horror, and weird fiction.

Two stories are currently available to read, with two others in the works. There is no official website for the collection yet, but you can check out what's available via Tumblr;

Once again thank you all for your tremendous support! Hopefully you'll hear from me again sooner than 2024!

Wow, it's been a minute since I updated here, hasn't it?

There's been quite a bit of dead air since I last posted, and I mentioned that I would be working on new animated short material to post this year. Sadly, due to lack of time and motivation on par with my main job, I haven't hit the goals I wanted this year. The best I've done on the personal front is loose storyboards for a sequel to a prior short, and some practice bits with Toon Boom. I've also been going through a creative slog these days, now trying to figure out what direction I really want to take with my work. It's going to be a frustrating pain in the ass personal journey, but it's a necessary one.

On July I deleted my main Twitter account. I'm a big fan of having my mental sanity in tact, and Twitter is the antithesis to it, so I got tired of my twitter feed getting dog-piled with toxicity and drama. I also no longer saw it as a means of promoting my work since I take a lot of time to produce one project, and most of the time that goes under the radar in favor of the algorithm. I still have a PillowFort account for all other art and animations not on this site. I'll have the links updated in my bio.

While I haven't announced this on the official site or mirror platforms, once I can finish the current chapter of my webcomic, I will no longer be working on it. I'll get more in depth on this when the time comes, but the abridged reasoning is that my heart is not really into it anymore and the direction has been lost for some time.

With one ongoing project coming to a close, this means I've allowed myself more time to explore other personal creative endeavors, which includes making time for animated collaborations and becoming more active around here.

This was a very slow year for new material, which I hope to remedy going into 2022.

Until then, y'all have a good rest of your year and stay safe out there!

Hello all!

It's been almost a year since I reported back to the old NG watering pit. I hope you all have been doing well and thriving under these current circumstances.

If you're wondering why I haven't been posting, it's because I got caught by a lucky opportunity earlier this year; I am now working as a full-time animator in California! The transition from the midwest to here has been a very unreal and bizarre experience. Living adjustments have also been a slow process, and even more so because of these, again, current circumstances.

Since I'm a full-timer, that also means my creative workflow has also slowed down significantly. I'm still putting time into my webcomic series, and animated shorts are still on the pipeline, even if they aren't moving forward right away.

If you ever want to follow my progress on anything, your best bet for now is to check out my Twitter, which is linked in my profile page. Same username as this one.

Once again, thank you all for stopping by, taking some time to comment on my works, for voting and following! I appreciate you all, and I will eventually come back with brand new material. Till then, stay safe out there!

Hey all!

I just wanted to give a huge, resounding thank you for all of your support on my latest animated atrocity, for going out of your way to vote, comment, and even follow my account. I never would have thought I'd hit the front page and a 3rd spot in the weekly selection at the same time! This is such a huge deal for me, since I'm used to getting very little recognition through Youtube. Even if I may never get the front page again, I hope the next animated project will entertain (and possibly concern) you just as much.

Until next time, friends!

Hey guys, just a brief update;

Because last month got busy, I was not able to complete the Ghostober project.  What I managed to finish can be viewed on my Youtube channel, as linked on the side bar here.

I also updated my animation reel for this year, which consists of scenes from Pizza Toast, The Dover Boys Re-Animate, and other clips that can't be found on my NG account. You can check it all out here;

Not sure when I'll be able to do another update, as I'm dealing with some rough financial patches at the moment. You can always follow me at my twitter account since I'm active the most over there; https://twitter.com/bittermause

Thank you all and see you next time!

Hello all! My name is Emily, but you can call me BitterMause. I'm a webcomic artist and recent animation graduate currently looking for freelance gigs. (long-term projects, ideally.) I've been a NG lurker since it's early days when Flash was under the 'Macromedia' brand. A few years of schooling and a copy of Toon Boom later, I am ready, willing and able to share more of my disasterpieces with you all!

This month, I am working on a personal project called GHOSTOBER, which is a small series of looping animations based on different kinds of spirits from around the world. The planned outcome is to take all these cycles and put them into one scene, resulting in a massive ghost parade! If you'd like to check out my progress, you can follow along at my Twitter account @ bittermause!

That's it for now. Please stay tuned  for more developments!
